People are telling me toothpaste...or alcohol?
If yes, can you please elaborateWhat is a good home remedy to help treat acne?
noo, do not use that. IT can actually make your acne worse.
have u tried honey? dab a bit on the spot, and wash after 20 min. works very well! What is a good home remedy to help treat acne?
either rubbing alcohol or the hydrogen peroxide. I would recommend hydrogen peroxide mixed with equal amount of water. (use only about cap-full is good enough.) Dab a bit using cotton balls. Mainly use it as a form of cleansing the face, kill bacteria. Recommended doing this process after you bathe, or after washing your face just so you can get most of your oily stuff that is produced and excreted through your pores off before you try to kill the bacteria causing the acne.
yes toothpaste works to help the swelling and size.
it dries up the pimple so it might dry up the skin!
just dab some toothpaste (preferably cream not gel) on the zit and put a band-aid over it and leave it over night and it should look less noticible. or you can try getting some ice and putting it on the zit to help reduce swelling and size also.
alcohol can be used but it's only if you do not have sensitive skin. alcohol can either work or make you break-out or just make the zit worse. but you can just get a dab of alcohol pore it on a cotton ball or something or if you have the wipe just gently apply it to the zit! (Try not to take a chance! only if you have a non-sensitive skin)
try putting your head over boiling water into the steam to help clear/open up pores. or get a little wash cloth and run it over REALLY hot water and wring it out and just pat your face with it .
and before you apply the cleanser to face splash hot water onto your face to open up the pores and help the thing penetrate more and then rinse your face with cold water to close pores.
also try not to get your hair in your face all the time because the oil with clog up the pores too.
be sure to wash at least once a day! :)
Hi:
A good home remedy is keep washing your face with ivory soap (baby) so that your skin will not completely dry out when using alcohol and a cotton ball. Make sure you wipe the acne morning and night.
Keep on doing this. Acne comes from to much oily skin or foods that you eat. If this does not help than see a doctor for proper medication. As acne leaves tiny holes in your skin when you are young.
Keep washing your face and than use rubbing alchol to dry the acne out.
i was on a drug called roaccutane (they dont do it anymore... to many people died) and that basically dried my skin out... and it worked extremely well.
you will need something that can take the moisture out of the skin without causing any irritation or damage to the skin itself. I would suggest going to the doctor, or asking your doctor what they would reccomend as a home remedy
regular toothpaste (not the gel kind) applied at bedtime and lest until morning will help dry them, also Boraxo Powdered Hand soap that comes in a car is also good to wash an acne prone face with, it is a bit gritty but it helps drying you face without drying it too much
Make sure the tooth paste is not whitening and is plain. What it dose is stick to your skin well enough and drier out the area.
You can use lemon too. but be careful to only put it in small area's lemon can lighten your skin. It works the same way alcohol and toothpaste dose.

make a paste out of aspirin and a few drops of hot water
open up pores with a hot face cloth
then dab the paste gently on the open pores and let dry
aspirin is an anti-inflammatory
alcohol may be too harsh, and toothpaste may contain a sugar substance
Plain white paste toothpast, not the gel kind, will dry out some acne. Acne is different for people, so even though it can work it doesn't mean it will. But, you would just apply it like any other acne stuff. Over the counter, try to find something that has clay in it. That will dry out oil too.
First off you need healthy skin, get some sugar and mix it in with soap to exfoliate your face. It should feel like a soothing scrub. It eliminates ALL of the dead skin, clears pores and prevents future acne.
what the professionals do is CLEANSE, TONE, AND MOISTURIZE. So you need to do this in 3 steps. Wash your face with soap a deep cleansing soap. then tone with alcohol but please dilute it. After your face is dry but a moisturizing lotion on it and there you go.
I have heard that the toothpaste works and it is probably because some have the peroxide in them which makes sense! I tried alcohol growing up and if you have a lot of acne it tends to irritate it!
im really sure if it treates acne, but my mom always tells me to put garbanzo bean powder and milk and apply it as if it is a mask. then rub it off once it dries off. it makes your skin smoother and more soft
Hang on... listen to this the remedies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f-DzVEO7鈥?/a> I hope you like it. Oh and for your question try proactice neutregena or clean and clear. Clean and clear worked best for me!
alcohol or benzyl peroxide will work just pour it on a cloth or toilet paper or cotton swab and rub it on you acne it should treat it pretty fast
A prescription of Accutane worked for me.
But if you don't want a prescription, try Neutrogena facial wash. It tends to dry out the skin, so use an oil-free moisturizer like one from Clinique.
Wash your face and apply toothpaste (gel, not paste) directly on the acne. It will dry out overnight. I have no idea how it works, but it does.
toothpaste is what i was gonna say.....it dries the pimple up, sleep with it on the pimple, it must be paste though.
Steamed spinich leaves or a hot wash cloth and put it on your face .
go out and buy some Clearasil acne cream works well.
toothpaste may burn. try soap.
i heard toothpaste once. dab it on, and let it dry overnight
go to trader joes ( if you have one) and get the tea tree face wash
