For blotchy skin (face, arms, chest, body overall) use ESOTERICA. I buy it at Walgreen's, it's a cream with a light Lavender label. The label has a large fancy E in the middle of a square on the label. The screw-off lid is white. I think the cost was about $8.50. I looked forever for a blotchy skin remedy and this was recommended by multiple people shopping for skin items and two of the Walgreen's salesladies. Also, more expensive, go to a ';Dermacare'; place and spend lots. Or, less expensive, go to ';Aesthetic'; schools (often associated with the student hair salon teaching salons). They'll give you facials and are about $20 each--plan on spending at least about $100, there may be some noticeable difference. I see a nice difference on my face, arms and chest area with Esoterica. Good luck.

What r some good ways to get rid of acne?
i want 2 know some ways i can get rid of and prevent acne. What r some good ways to get rid of acne?
Hello
There are some great ways that can help you .
here are some tips that were helpful for me to treat my acne:
Drink water
Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in our body - an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to the skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a short walk outside every day.
Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates
Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
The bed sheets
Keep the bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of our natural body oils.
Wash your face
Wash your face only one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.
Anyhow, don't go out and buy those magical acne free in 24 hours products that are offered all over the place, they just don't work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing.
Why not? Well, because it takes time to get rid of acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to cure your acne in only one day.
If you really want to get rid of your acne there are two recommended ways that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.
Firstly and more important in my opinion, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.
Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their guides they share their great knowledge with other acne sufferers. In any case, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.
You can learn about one of the best guides that helped many people to treat their acne naturally in this helpful article:

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.
There are many acne skin care products available in the market in these days and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.
When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:
ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

Drink lots of water.
Water is very healty for your skin.

What is the best way to get rid of acne on your shoulders?
Dont get rude.this isnt for me.What is the best way to get rid of acne on your shoulders?
Hi,my name is Aaron M. Grimes. I'm 19 years of age,and I think I might have a solution.
My girl friend had acne since she was 12, she is now 17 and I found a substance at a Walgreen's store (or any drug store) that helped alot. The name of this substance is, ';Pimple Eraser.'; It's in a little white tube and says, well, Pimple Eraser! LOL. Now if this person does not want to spend any money, the main thing that helps is to cut down on the chocolate.Yes, I know that sounds absurd,I mean, who wants to give up their snack time. Not me, but the thing is,I too once had an acne problem and it had to go.
Another solution is to cut down on the soda beverages. This solution really helps. Now, if you do alot of sports your gonna sweat quite badly. So do away with the sweat rag if you wear one. Just make sure you scrub your face after sweating.
Now if you wash your face to much, your face gets used to being dry and the first time you break the slightest little sweat and don't wash your face.';Say hello to your little friends again.'; LOL!
I hope this was useful for whom ever this may concern, and I hope you have a wonderful day. Later! Write back if you would like. Aaron M. Grimes Sorry so long! What is the best way to get rid of acne on your shoulders?
well go to dermatoligists...they can help you because if you buy a products dat ur friends told u dat its gud...yes it might for them...but...you have a diff. skin...so you have to go to derma first for accurate medicine( i mean ur friend)
Go to www.naturescure.com. It has some really neat stuff for body acne. It won't stain your clothes like other stuff.. and it works wonders if you use it daily. Hope that helps!
Try Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub. One of my friends in HS had acne on her back, and it worked for her. If this person is a female, the problem is likely because of a combination of the hormones of puberty and oily hair resting on the shoulders.
I wish I knew....
Maybe use the same anti-bacterial/skin cleansing soaps that people use on their face?
scrub em
use neutrenga (spelled wrong HA) body scrub it feals really good and if u use it every day it should be gone in a week or so also try to use noxemia its in a blue package at the store hope that helps
Lightly exfoliate, and make sure to shower promptly after getting sweaty
I wouldn't get rude even if it was for you. I never had acne on my back but I would get a few zits, the best thing that worked for me is tanning in tanning beds. If you can't do that. Have a buddy tap toothpaste on em, it sucks all the puss out, sounds weird but trust me works wonders. I use it on my face when I get a stubborn pimple.
hey just scrub with a loopha and the will go away
You know what works the best.. i didnt believe it but loreal makes a acne body wash. I had acne all over my shoulders and it cleared it up in one week. but only use it once a day because it will get your skin too dried out.
You should go to a dermatologist. She will give you perscriptions that you need.

Can you still get tattooed even if you have acne where you want it?
My girlfriend wants to get a tat across her back but she has back acne. Do they have like a policy where they can't tattoo if there's obstructions or something. I don't know if it's a factor at all but I really wish to know before they say no because of that and get her feelings hurt. Or if it would mess up her tattoo at all? Anyone know? Can you still get tattooed even if you have acne where you want it?
Reputable tattoo shops will not do this for two reasons: (1) it's likely to look bad, and that makes THEM look bad, and (2) there is a much higher risk of infection. You do NOT want to go anywhere except a reputable tattoo shop (trust me), so I strongly advise against this. She should get inked somewhere where there is no acne, and, if she really wants a back tattoo, get a dermatologist to treat the acne (completely) before getting such a tat.Can you still get tattooed even if you have acne where you want it?
Not a good idea to get a tatt over acne - your infection risk is really high and the tattoo will likely be uneven and heal poorly.

Has anyone had success using vitamin b5 to treat acne?
I've been on harsh dermatologist drugs twice, and I have to have vitamin b12 injections each month. As a result I have acne breakouts, which is apparently common with b12 injections. I read that vitamin b5 can help cure adult acne. I'm a 21 year old female. Any hints or success stories?Has anyone had success using vitamin b5 to treat acne?
I read that B complex is good for acne.Neem bark tablets are antibacterial and good for acne.Search the net for Neem bark tablets.Has anyone had success using vitamin b5 to treat acne?

Small quantities of pantothenic acid(vit b5) are found in most foods. The major food source of pantothenic acid is in meats, although the concentration found in food animals' muscles is only about half that in humans' muscles. Whole grains are another good source of the vitamin. Vegetables, such as broccoli and avocados, also have an abundance of pantohenic acid.
Vitamin Therapy for Acne:Nutritionists generally suggest:Chromium supplements - Chromium helps boosts the body's ability to break down glucose.Vitamin A - reduces sebum and keratin production. (Caution: taking mega doses of Vitamin A can cause headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and other side effects. Consult a qualified practitioner before taking mega supplements).Vitamin E - an antioxidant (200 to 400 IU a day).Vitamin B-6 50 mg per day. This vitamin aids in the metabolism of hormones and supports the function of Acnezine as well.
Note: People should not try to medicate themselves or others with any of the methods referred to here without the guidance of a qualified practitioner who is thoroughly familiar with both the remedies and the individual鈥檚 medical status.

What's the best natural / home remedy for mild acne?
I only break out occassionally but my doctor has told me it's mild adult acne, I don't want to use the harsh alcoholic chemical treatments that she recommends - anyone tried anything that works? What's the best natural / home remedy for mild acne?
Hi,
it's important to inform yourself first before buying any wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.
Your best bet would be to check out

This is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural and endorsed by doctors and herbalists.
I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me. It should also help you get rid of your acne in a breeze.
Hope that helps.

What is a safe, maybe natural, treatment for my acne and being around my 7-month-old?

I doubt that would happen - Keep in mind it takes only a few moments to absorb in to your skin -
If you feel uneasy use Berts Bee products. I am not sure they will work as well for you - and no real 'at home' remedies are strong enough for acne. What is a safe, maybe natural, treatment for my acne and being around my 7-month-old?

Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
I have terrible acne and terrible acne scars and was thinking about trying some kind of mineral make-up but I wasn't sure if it would cover well. Does anyone with terrible acne and acne scars use this make-up and if so does it cover well? Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
Oh, heavens, yes. I had severe acne for years (I'm 19 now) and though it isn't quite as bad anymore, I still break out. And on top of that I have some really awful scars on my cheeks and certain other places. I'm hoping to get laser skin resurfacing when all my acne finally goes away, because having these scars is so hard to deal with.
Anyway, I've tried several different types of makeups over the years, from liquid to pressed to loose powder, and nothing works quite as good for me as loose mineral powder in making my skin look nearly flawless. Now, as far as brands go, there are some differences you should be aware of. BareMinerals is great, but way too expensive. It's good for your skin, but you can find comparable quality in the drugstore: plus, you can use more of it and not feel so guilty about paying a huge price.
Now, which brand should you look for? After running through a few, L'or茅al was one of the first to follow in the mineral makeup explosion after Bare Escentuals became so popular. L'or茅al's Bare Naturale works great for me, and it is much less expensive than Bare Minerals. Granted, it's still the more expensive of many of the Wal-Mart mineral makeups, but the others don't really seem to stand up (I've tried Physician's formula and Neutrogena and Maybelline). This one gets the job done and leaves you with a surprisingly good complexion. Want to know what I do? Get a good small brush with firm bristles, a concealer brush. If you have the time and really want to look great, use the concealer brush in the powder and cover around the spots individually. This gives you an even better base to virtually eliminate marks.
I haven't had any problems with irritation from L'or茅al, and I suspect it might not be all 100% pure and yadda ya, but it's pretty darn close. And a word from someone who knows: if you have raised marks or indentations like I do, you might not be able to get the flawless look of someone born with perfectly smooth skin. You'll get a lovely even tone and other people will think you look quite nice, but if you examine yourself too much in the mirror you can still see the flaws. Try not to worry so much about the tiny things, though; just take care of your skin, and convince yourself that you look as fabulous as others think you do :)Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
Definitely use Bare Minerals. I have acne and I started using that. I dont even wash it off after every use and it actually is clearing up my face. It also covers up really well. Im very strict about covering up my face and Bare Minerals (out of all things i have tried) is by faaarrr the best :) Its amazing. Also if you get the cover up try and get the mineral veil. It makes the makeup look 10 times better and makes your face really smooth and beautiful.

It makes the makeup look 10 times better and makes your face really smooth and beautiful.

try filling a bowl with hot tea and put a towel over it. put your face up to the bowl and itll exfoliate your pores and it makes your skin really soft. Works for me :D
Don't waste Your time on stupid ';homemade remedies';
I have some light on that: THEY DON'T WORK
They're supposed to make You think ';Oh! Homemade remedies, hmm that must mean they are more effective because they use food items, and those are natural!';
Re-think that for a second; Now do You honestly think putting egg whites on Your face is going to clear You up? I don't think so. Oh listen to this one! HONEY! Hahah if anything, I'd think it'd clog Your pores.
If You have moderate to severe acne, I recommend going to Your derm(Dermatologist) and asking her/him what he/she thinks You should do.
Mention the homemade remedies, they'll get a kick out of that!
But good luck though! I hope You clear up!
WATER! Mostly drink water! Oatmeal is good too, as i heard, idk how to make it though. Toothpaste s more like an over-night acne emergency, sometimes the pimple is gone the next day, sometimes not. And always washing your face is a good start to cleansing the pores. (:
wash your face and put lotion
zeno zit zaper. safe, wasy and efficitve
I always like just washed my face with soap if it got oily.
Wash your face every day and to prevent more acne use St. Ives Apricot Scrub. My skin isn't really sensitive and since using it I have not gotten any acne. BUT it doesn't get rid of acne.
drink tons and tons of water! I really mean it! and if that fails..SERIOUSLY go to a dermatologist because they can give you options. They may offer you to take birth control (if your a woman), or creams and lotions to put on the affected area of the acne. And if your still a teenager, don't worry its normal! But if you want to get rid of them..talk to a dermatologist!

What type of acne face wash is safe to use during pregnancy?
I was using 10% benzyl peroxide, however my N.P. recommended I discontinue use. What type of acne face wash is safe to use during pregnancy?
Then I'd ask her/him what I could use. Or what they would recommend. Try something less harsh, such and Clean And ClearWhat type of acne face wash is safe to use during pregnancy?
If your face wash is a prescription then it is probably not safe. OTC acne medications are safe during pregnancy. I used a salicylic acid face wash and my doctor said it is safe. He did tell me the unsafe acne medication, but I don't remember it because I had never heard of it. I am pretty sure that benzoyl peroxide is safe. I did read that it is unknown if benzoyl peroxide is safe during pregnancy because they have not done any studies to show that it links to birth defects and other problems.
If you are worried you could switch to an OTC salicylic acne medication - my daughter turned out fine.
I know EXACTLY how you feel honey , I couldn't look anybody in the eyes and I wanted to go home so none could see me , I didint want to go out at all because I felt embarrassed ,The trips I took to the dermatologist cost me way more than that lol and the crap they gave me just made my acne worse You should check out this website what sells acne cream , it got rid of mine in 7 days .You should really try it hon

Glycolic Acids and Alpha Hydroxy Acids are safe. They just exfoliate the top layer of your skin. They don't work the same way as your traditional acne products, but you don't have much choice.
The link below explains in greater detail what you can and can't use.
I use Aveeno its made by johnson and johnson and its all natural...they even sell it at babies r us...it works really nicely too. Good Luck!

I know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?
Is it ok to just apply it like normal moisteriser, like a night cream? Also does anyone know how long it takes for olive oil to clear acne scars?
ThanksI know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?
Hi I would suggest that you apply it immidietly after bath when there is still some moisture left on your skin. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised . Thats what i do .I use extra virgin olive oil.I know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?
I would not suggest that you use olive oil directly on your skin. Find a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) and made for sensitive skin like Lubriderm.
If you are concerned about acne scarring, check out Sephora or your local dermatologist for a vitamin c serum. I really love Skinceuticals vitamin c with ferulic acid. It's an expensive serum but when used with sunscreen it will lighten scars and prevent wrinkles from being formed from UV rays.
Also... Microdermabrasion and IPL laser treatments would also clear the hyperpigmentation left from acne. This is another expensive option but also effective.

What sunblock does not clog pores which leads to acne?
I'm using this sunblock called Banana Boat Maximum Sunblock which has an SPF of 50. I have been using it most of the summer. Even though, it provides sun protection for my skin, I think it is clogging my pores which is giving me some acne trouble.
I have alot of blackheads on my face and regular zits. Lately since using this Sunblock. Is it the sunblock I'm using that is causing me the acne? If so, can anyone reccomend a good sunblock SPF 30 or higher that does not clog the pores? What sunblock does not clog pores which leads to acne?
I know you want SPF 30 or higher but I suggest just using a separate sunblock for your face if the sunblock is giving you acne trouble. I use Coppertone Oil Free Waterproof Sunscreen Lotion SPF 8, but they may have it in a higher SPF. It says right on the front of the bottle, won't clog pores or cause breakouts!
I like it a lot! Hope this helps! What sunblock does not clog pores which leads to acne?
i use coppertone water babies uva/uvb protection sunblock stick on my face. it has SPF 30 (it may come higher). it's gentle, non-irritating, fragrance free, PABA free, hypoallergenic, non-stinging, noncomedogenic, and water proof.
workes great on my skin, never had any problems with it.
it's pretty cheap too.
coppertone... theres this one kind that says it doesnt clog pores (on the back of the bottle) and it has vitamin e and aloe too
thats the kind that i have, its a white bottle with a purple cap
i think neutragena has one too
but just go to the store and read the labels
You definitely need to try Clinique's
Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 40
High-level daily sun protection in a sheer, weightless formula. Wear alone or as an invisible under-makeup primer. I wear this everyday and love it.
www.clinique.com
Try Este Lauder
Try Neutrogena, they have very good suncare products that are non-comedogenic, I have one that's SPF 45 ^^
try olay complete lotion. it is a face lotion, but it also has spf 15
Check out and get free sample of any cosmetic brands here.
I'm not sure of any brands, but look for ones that say non-comedigenic (I think that's how you spell it). Anyway, that just means it doesn't clog pores.
Neutrogena does not clog your pores, use that. I highly reccomend it.
neutrogena dry touch with helioplex spf 45

There are special sunblocks that don't clog your pores, check the labels. I use neutrogena and it's very light. My dermatologist recommended me helioblock sunblock.
Hi, go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out their Before Sun line. They have a SPF 15 and 30. I personally use the 30 and works great! I am very sensitive to the sun due to medication I take and this product totally protects me and I haven't had any breakout. It takes very little of this product and it isn't heavy on your skin like so many others. Good luck to you.

plastic surgery.
I personally use Tea Tree Oil because it is well-known for its drawing properties, meaning it draws the infection (the pimple) out. I also use it on my acne regularly because it reduces the redness within hours of putting it on, and it works amazingly on my pimples to keep them away. It's very safe and doesn't hurt at all.. It is 100% natural with no ';fake'; additives in it or anything like that... Best of all it is cheap and easy to find, such as at Walgreens (if you have one around), or at stores that sell health-foods and natural medicines. It is a very common home remedy and is very handy in medicine cabinets or First Aid Kits because it is a ';cure-all'; meaning it is not just for one thing in particular, it can help with many things.
I use it, and I love it. ProActiv didn't work for me, and nothing else really has either.. but this stuff has pretty much done the trick.
Goodluck :)
you cant get rid of them they will go away by them selves balive me i know because when i was little i fell loads of times i mean it parcticly so dont worry about them
Bio-oil is very good, it's formulated for just this.
i like the smell of it too.You can get it in most pharmacies and lots of big grocery stores

To reduce or remove shallow and pitted acne scars the best at home treatment would be to exfoliate using glycolic acid or 1-2% salicylic acid to slowly remove damaged scar tissues. After exfoliation, you apply either topical ascorbic acid or topical copper peptide to allow the rebuilding of new collagen and healthy skin cells. As you can see it is a 2 step process and the process should be repeated for several months. Topical ascorbic acid and copper peptide also helps reduce
the darker scar coloration and redness imparted by acne scars.
i use Queen Helen mint julep facial mask...usually apply it at night and it really seems to work...if u continue using it ur marks shud fade..if not then i wud see a dermatologist before the situation gets worse...all the best
Have you ever heard of that annoying commercial ';Apply directly to the forhead';? Well now they have stuff that you ';apply directly to scars, i don't know if it works.
Go to like a pharmacy, and ask for one, they have a lot of those.
Try maderma, also a cream with aloe vera, vit e, c, and a. Keep your skin clean. Try cetaphil or clinique soap to wash. Be extra gentle with your face, so you don't cause more problems.
When washing your face make sure the water is very warm and dip a handwash cloth in it and put over your face to open the pores before cleaning, then rinse with cool water to close pores. Apply cream, and make sure you use sunscreen. Be careful with alcohol based products or strong ingredients, since your skin has some scars.
Before bedtime, dab the solution you plan to use on the acne scar areas. I personally wouldn't dab any kind of pure oils on acne, but if it's a scar, then yes. Try vit e oil from a vit e capsule for a scar.
Also don't scratch, rub etc. those areas. For a mask try Aztec indian healing clay you can purchase at a healthfood store like whole foods. It's really good stuff. Use water to mix it instead of vinegar, and dab it on the acne areas at night.
See a dermatologist, so that you don't end up with permanent scars, and it ends up costing you much more for treatment. Your only 14, so save the only skin you have before it's too late.
Besides, the dermatologist will give you suggestions for future use and save you money. Acne and scars should be treated differently, that's why I recommend a docter for now. He might have a cream that treats both at the same time. If this is extreme, then I also recommend allergy testing.
Hope that helps!
Exofoliate twice a week it will remove dead skin cells from you face which prevents blackheads from deepening. To remove blackheads steam you face to open you pores then using you two index fingers sqeeze gently around the area of the blackhead to try and sqeeze it out. If it doesnt budge then its not ready to come out yet and just repeat the next time you take a bath.
Some good products include nuetrogena blackhead removal scrub and biore deep heat pore masks. But if you use these products dunt exfolitae and follow the instructions on the packages,
Remeber also that blackheads are stubborn, it took me a full year too clear my skin up but as long as you perservere, get back to your routine after missing a few days and stick with t your skin realy does look amazing and feel so much softer.
Good luck!
I recommend a lactic peel. Its about 50 bucks. and its milder than most other peels. after just 1 you'll notice some results.
I had a series of 6 and have perfectly clear skin now. go to your local spa and get thier recommendation on a plan.
Open up Vitamin E caplets and put the gel on your scars
snail extract. im 100% sure that it'll works.
I actually had a HUMONGOUS acne scar on my nose, and my family doctor prescribed this cream to me. It's called Fucidin* Cream, and I applied it twice each day for about 10 days and it disappeared! I still use it to this day.

the neutrogena wave works really good! for blackheads i use st. ives apricot scrub. and i dry my face with toilet paper instead of a towel, because it's more gentle on your skin. sometimes if i have a pimple and it hurts or it's really red, i put ice on or toothpaste. i also use a good lotion that isn't scented. good luck and i hope i helped!
Neutrogena on the spot
I also heard about this other product on Acne.org...Visit their site, it think it's worth a shot....Looks very helpful. Never tried it myself, but you should read up on it...Lots of good tips.

Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Complex. It's the only thing that's ever worked for me without making my skin dry and flaky.
I use Kiehl's cleansor and Benza-Clin topical cream to put on the individual zits and it works sooo well I swear that Benza-Clin zaps zits away in like 2 days!!

Can I use rubbing alcohol on my face for acne?
I have really bad acne, it covers almost my whole face. I have tried using everything, I was told today to use rubbing alcohol. Can I use rubbing alcohol for my face? How much do I put on? How Often? Can I use rubbing alcohol on my face for acne?
Yes, it is very effective in getting rid of the oils in you skin. Best way to use it is to grab a face cloth and cover the top of the bottle of alcohol and turn it upside down so the cloth gets wet within the rim of the bottle. Do this two or three times in seperate but next each other spots on the cloth before wiping face.
Heres something fun you should try. Wash your face with soap and then use the rubbing alcohol with a white cloth. That way you can see for yourself how much the soap is missing.
You can use it as often as you feel. Obviously only when you face feels oily. It can dry your skin out but it is better that way.
After using it, I recommend splashing your face with cold water to close your pores.
Hope this helps and good luck! Can I use rubbing alcohol on my face for acne?
NO! Do not use any form of alcohol on your face, it is TOO drying and if you use it too much your face will become so dry that it over compensates and produces oil therefore your face will be permanently greasy no matter what!.
Use a light cleanser %26amp; exfoliator %26amp;, and then perhaps a toner afterwards to tighten the pores, followed by a moisturiser to lock in that essential moisture. As long as you keep your skin clean by doing a simple facial routine and don't touch with dirty hands then you shall be okay and your acne will start to calm down. If not, it could be hormones and therefore your doctor can recommend you some treatments.
I never found rubbing alcohol to be effective. It just dries out your skin and makes more oil.
Go to the doctor and get some meds if you haven't already. Antibiotics or Accutane can help. Creams with the ingredient 'salicylic acid'; can help. Aspirin contains salisylate and you can dissolve an aspirin in some water and dab the water on your face twice a day, but it would be better to go to the doctor first.
It may be a little harsh on your skin. I use to use it, but it can sting a bit. A good natural remedy is witch hazel or pure tee tree oil. Tee tree oil stinks, but it is meant for acne. The only ';over the counter'; product that works for my skin is the Clean and Clear Persa Gel. Anything that has Benzoyl peroxide in the ingredients is best. Sasilic Acid is crap! Don't waste your money on this ingredient. If your acne is really bad, tell your doctor how you feel about it, and don't be embarrassed. They can give you some pills that will make your skin beautiful! It was my last resort when I had a special event coming up. It cleared everything...my skin never looked better! Make sure you get it a few months prior to your event though. Hope this helps!
You can but sometimes it is too harsh on your skin. Seriously increase your water. Believe it or not it makes a huge difference in your skin and your whole body for that matter. Decrease soda and chocolate as well. When my daughter does these things her skin is flawless when she doesn't she breaks out, and remember you are beautiful just the way you are. Have a great day! It is funny I just looked at your user name my daughter also uses chaotic in different combos for sites. She is 19.
No dont do that cure one pimple at a time
What I do when I get a pimple is put clean and clear acne spot treatment
Then put a band aid over it ( I do this before I go to sleep)
Wake up wash it off and it should be less swollen and less red
By the next day it should be gone or not noticeable at all
Good luck :]
I know that rubbing alcohol will dry it up. But it will also dry your face out. So just use it once daily. With a cotton ball, then use an unscented moisturizing lotion after wards. Like cetaphil. Good luck.

Does exercise help tone the skin? And does it help get rid of acne?
I've noticed that athletes or regular joggers don't have any acne and have flawless skin. So does exercise help improve skin condition?Does exercise help tone the skin? And does it help get rid of acne?
Yes it does! Sweating is one of your body's natural ways to cleanse it's pores and get rid of bacteria and toxins that cause acne. Exercise is good for everything, but make sure that you wash your face and moisturize after you work out. Drinking lots of water is also great for your skin and does wonders because it is a natural hydrator. Hope this helped!Does exercise help tone the skin? And does it help get rid of acne?
No, it doesn't. Sweating may actually make acne worse.

You must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief. There are only few decent Sites and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.

Is it possible for Proactive to actually CAUSE acne?
I got my kit today, and I'm just curious because lotion usually causes acne, and the kit comes with lotion. Is it possible for Proactive to actually CAUSE acne?
It is a special oil free lotion that will not cause break outs.Is it possible for Proactive to actually CAUSE acne?
hmm...could be...it might cause acne, then take it away, making you believe that the stuff actually works...
of course!! my friend used it and now she's dependent on it. she have to keep buying it and buying it or else her face will get more break outs
yeah it is. it just depends on what type of skin you have. i use proactiv, and it works great for me. if you call them, they'll ask you some questions about your skin, and tell you if it's right for you. thats what i did anyway. also, if you have already gotten it, and it doesn't work, they'll give you a full refund.
I've used proactive and if you look at the lotion that comes with it, it doesn't look like most lotions. It is mostly water-based. I also want to say that it has acne-fighting medication in it. I really thought that it would cause acne too but it didn't.
well it may if your skin is sensitive. you should try it out for 3 days then if you get more acne or a rash or some other kind of irritation then you can try to send it back for your money back.
yes is is possibe i used proactive and it made my skin get worse for the first couples of weeks you will break out badly so dutn make any hott dates lol but after that your skin will be smooth and beatiful
i had use proactive and it did clear my skin then after that allot of pimples started to show up proactive solution does not work for all people
yeah of course, did u know that if u dont have acne and use acne products u will get acne, and if u have acne and use acne products ur acne will get worst before it gets better! true
If you use it more frequently than twice a day, then yes, I could see it causing acne because it will dry your skin so much that your body will overcompensate by producing too much oil.
The lotion is not really a lotion. When you try it you'll see...it's not greasy. If it caused acne it would not be a successful system.

homemade remedy to clear acne for a lifetime:
Things You鈥檒l Need:
All natural facial soap, as pure as you can get it.
Baking Soda
Water
Benzoyl Peroxide, any strenth
Facial Mask, green clay type
Clean dry towel
Wash your skin lightly with an all-natural bar soap. I use Dr. Bronners Lavender bar soap. Be careful not to scrub your skin. All you need to do is to create a nice lather all over and rinse well with clean water.
While your skin is still wet, pour about 2 Tbsp. of Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) into your hand. Add to it just enough water to make a paste. Apply the paste all over your face and light work it around your face in circular motions for about 1 minute. Be careful not to press to hard, just use light circular motions. Rinse well with clean water.
Dry your skin by patting it lightly with a towel. Apply the Benzoyl Peroxide ONLY to the active acne spots. Allow to dry and then dab a little mud mask only on the spots. Leave on overnight.
You will gradually reduce the use of Benzoyl Peroxide as your skin clears until you do not use it at all. The Baking Soda works very quicklyDoes oral acne treatments work better then creams and such? and if you know what worked for you?
In my case, the creams, and other topical treatments only made me break out worse. My dermitologist prescribed Minocycline, which has been working wonderfully. If your acne is really bad, try taking Doxycycline, which has the same active ingredient, but is stronger, and more concentrated. I personally have not had to move up to Doxy, but people I know have. Hope this helps!

Water helps to flush toxins out of your body, which means that they are not as likely to be excreted through your skin. This daily ';cleansing'; will occur because you drink enough water; as toxins are excreted through kidneys and other avenues, this will help cut down on acne breakouts.
People suffering from mild or moderate body acne, I heartily recommend the Clear Pores System. Hard to treat cases are better left to a dermatologist鈥檚 skills, although ClearPores is certainly up to the task.
The best way to treat acne is to cleanse the skin with a solution containing Salicylic Acid and SD Alcohol 40. The ClearPores body and face washes contain these two excellent ingredients, which are accompanied by the well-known Aloe Vera (to soothe the skin and help the healing process), Dandelion Root and Yellow Dock.
See its official site: http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth鈥?/a>

Banish Today's Unwelcome Breakouts - And Tomorrow's
Let's face it: There's never a good time for an acne breakout. That's why our gentle, clinically proven, hypoallergenic treatment works to control today's breakouts. In addition, it promotes cleaner, clearer skin to help prevent tomorrow's as well. It uses naturally derived salicylic acid to penetrate pores, clearing up blemishes and protecting against future breakouts. Plus, patented Acne Clarifying Complex promotes a healthy oil/moisture balance so, over time, skin looks cleaner, clearer, and smoother.
Even if you don't experience acne, it helps to control shine and provide a matte finish. Ideal for both teens and adults, it contains targeted botanicals, including extracts of licorice, burdock, watercress, tea tree oil, and manuka oil, as well as vitamins B6, A, and E, and zinc gluconate.

See its official site: http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth鈥?/a>
Also...keep your body skin clean every day and be careful not to trigger acne or rashes by wearing very tight clothing or heavy backpacks. If you feel your clothing, backpack or purse is causing you skin problems, then start thinking about alternatives. What are the best ways to cure back acne?

How do I get rid of bad Body Acne?
Ive struggled with bad body acne since December 06. For some reason, I just cant get rid of it and it's bothering me. It's embarrassing. I scratch at it, and I pick at it and its really bad. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it?! Also, does anyone have any ideas as to not scratching and picking at it- like motivational talk? How do I get rid of bad Body Acne?
What really helped get rid of my acne was washing with salt and then soap and then applying a moisturizer.
I know it sounds weird but it really does work.
As far as motivation for not scratching, I have terrible scars on my face from popping my zits and believe me they don't go away. So the next time you go to scratch remember that.
I hope it helps and I know it sounds weird but try washing your face with the salt and soap, you'll be suprised. How do I get rid of bad Body Acne?
If your acne is severe (with the potential for scarring), no over-the-counter treatment is likely to clear your skin completely. Some products might help reduce the condition, but nothing short of Accutane (or oral antibiotics) is going to clear body acne, unfortunately.
You need to see a dermatologist as soon as possible to avoid permanent scarring.
I have experienced this before - mainly on my chest and I hate it - I know how you feel!
Motivational speech to not picking it - its a disgusting habit and only makes it worse when you pick at the acne.
HONESTLY - When you are picking it, the germs rub off on your hands and spread onto other areas surround the area and then more acne occurs - SO...STOP IT NOW :)
A good body wash to try out is Neutrogena Body Clear Acne Body Wash. You can find it at Walmart, Target, CVS, its usually in the aisle with the acne treatments, moisurizers, etc.
Also - be sure that you are showering frequently. Some people just have oily or bad skin naturally, so you have to stay clean to keep it clear. Try showering EVERYDAY for a week with the Neutrogena mentioned above and see if that clears it up.
Have faith - this worked for me and I am a believer!!
You should consider seeing a dermatologist if it doesn't get any better.
I don;t know what your diet consists of, but if you have poor eating habits it can effect your skin. Also, stop using products designed to clear acne (neutrogena, clean and clear etc.) Choose something natural and clear. I would recommend any body wash from C.O. Bigelow...most products are fairly priced and are available at Bath %26amp; Body works
shower
Wash with an anti-bacterial soap. Use a plastic scrub brush to wash your back.
Apply benzol peroxide (Oxy 10) to whiteheads. Use salisilic acid on other pimples.
Get your doctor to prescribe oral Tetracycaline and topical retin-A.
Don't pick. You'll exacerbate your condition.
You can try to get rid of it by doing a daily cleansing regimen.
After you take a shower try to use some body lotion, some even use suncream but I dont do that. Also try drinking enough water to keep your body um hydrated.
Eat good stufff such as fruit, vegtables, things that are healthy for you.
Its hard not to scratch, but try not to because it spreads the acne to more places and your hands are always full of oil which makes it worse.
When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don鈥檛 be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin. You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as a simple home remedy. Does Doxycycline work better than tetracycline for severe acne?
I have been using Doxycycline 100mg for my acne for about1 month now, but it dont seem to be working well for me at all. However, I did alil research online and i find that tetracycline could help my acne, because its stroger than doxycycline, Could that be true??Does Doxycycline work better than tetracycline for severe acne?
It probably won't make much difference...no. Tetracycline and Doxycycline are VERY similar antibiotics, so one will not likely have any advantage over the other, although doxycycline DOES have a synthetic component that may help. They both cover the same spectrum as far as the offending bacteria that are usually the cause of acne.
You might consider switching to an entirely DIFFERENT antibiotic (like Amoxil) or ADDING a topical agent to help (Like Differin or Clindamycin Gel). Talk to your doctor about this.
Best of luck!Does Doxycycline work better than tetracycline for severe acne?
I dont know how old you are, but I was told that Doxycycline was given more often for a broad based anti biotic which clears up a wide range of things including acne.
I used to take tetracycline and it was good, but I became pregnant while I was on it and my child had a minor bone deformity. Also her milk teeth were stained. I had actually stopped taking them when I got pregnant but they are in your system for about a month after. I read some information on the drug and it is a known side effect.
Sometimes, the doctors do things for the right reasons.
Try putting sudocreme on bad areas at night. I know it is nappy creme but it does really work wonders.

Does my acne complexion have to do with heat?
Usually in hot weather I break out. A week ago i went to San Francisco and it was pretty cold and windy my complexion looked practically flawless.
- i am usually hotter than everyone else fyi.Does my acne complexion have to do with heat?
Definitely. Especially if you are prone to sweating. I don't know what your skin type is (ie. normal, combination, oily)
but hot weather often activates the skin via sweating and oil production thus contributing to breakouts. You may need to overhaul your skin care routine for the summer. Using cleanser and toner twice a day, perhaps. If I were you, I would treat myself to a facial and ask the esthetician for advice. A good one will tell you in general terms what you should be doing, rather than trying to sell you her products - so be sure to be up front when you ask for advice.Does my acne complexion have to do with heat?
Yes...use proactive or some type of zinc product.

Are there any ways to get rid of acne without store bought stuff?
drink lots of clear fluids - water, tea - and wash your face frequently with a non-colored, non-scented soap. also i have heard that toothpaste, tea bags, prep H, honey, and bananas work for removing the redness and reducing the acne that is already there. Are there any ways to get rid of acne without store bought stuff?
Popular consumer items such as Proactiv and other hygienic products that are available in todays market are somewhat effective, but there are natural and inexpensive ways to maintain a clear complexion. Most important is your diet. It's true that you are what you eat! If your diet consists mainly of sugar, sweets, and oily foods, then you should stay away from food and beverages that contain these items. You don't have to avoid sweets and desserts all together,,just enjoy them with moderation. Another important factor is getting the right amount of sleep. There's no actual scientific proof to back this up,but on occassion, when I stay up late and get only a few hours of sleep,I wake up in the morning with a blemish. This happens almost every time! And just about every person that I've known or met, they'll always say something like,';Man look at this zit!'; ';I think I stayed up too late!'; Personally,I think it does help when you get enough sleep. The practice of good hygiene is also a good idea. Mainly keeping your hands clean and washing them regularly. Most people tend to touch there faces after having eaten a greasy burger and fries. Or even wipe their face or mouth with a dirty napkin or rag. For me,the most effective method is getting a nice clean washcloth, with warm to hot water, and wipe my face slowly with a certain amount of pressure applied to make sure it grabs any dirt and grime. Mainly after playing sports or other physical activities, and definitely each night before I go to bed. I have always been a firm believer in natural methods, and I have never used any synthetic or artificial products as a remedy for acne. These products may even be more harmful than helpful. I see many people, mainly teens, that rely too much on these products. Yes,some are very effective, but they have to continuously be used. If these products were really useful, you should be able to use them a few times and have positive results. But as soon as you stop using them,';BAM!!';,you're right back where you started,a face full of zits. Everyone has their own methods and solutions, and everyone will tell you what is the best way to a clear complexion,so just experiment and see which works best for you. As for me,I chose natural. Are there any ways to get rid of acne without store bought stuff?
oh god... someone said proactiv when you said, ';w/o store bought stuff';
Anyways... I am a sufferer of acne and all those cleansers will just irritate and dry out ur skin anyway.
1. make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If your urine is yellow, you arent drinking enough water. You need to drink eight glasses so your urine will be clear. If you drink water, you skin can get rid of the bacteria and icky stuff thats clogging the pores.
2. natural stuff such as garlic, strawberries and lime can help. Grind about three cloves of garlic(take away the peel) and put that paste on your skin for only about five to ten minute. Its kind of strong so try for as long as you can stand it. Or if you dont like garlic, smush up maybe 3 strawberries. Put the paste on you face for ten minutes. When you wash it off you can scrub and the seeds act as an exfoliant. Lastly roll a lime or lemon to break up the pulp inside and cut it in half. Rub one of the halves against ur skin and the acidic juice and help clean out the infection or dirt clogging your pores.
3. Wash you face with just mild soap and warm water and rinse with cold. Your pores dont actually open and close because of temperature, but the warm and then cold water does control your oil and sweat glands.
4. be sure to avoid picking or touching your face during the day time. Wash your face as soon as you get home. try to keep hair away from the face or where ur acne is as well.
5. Relax. if you stress too much, you may break out more.
Good LUCK!

The store bought stuff may work for some with mild cases, but if you have chronic acne that doesn't respond to it...you need to try other avenues. Proactiv is in my opinion nothing special. It contains benzoyl peroxide, which is in Oxy and other cheaper brands. The gentle solution of Proactiv contains salicylic acid which is in clearasil. Nothing special.
You need to make sure your diet is a healthy one. Drink tonnes of water. Look into herbal remedies. http://www.health911.com/remedies/rem_ac鈥?/a>
Eat really healthy, and keep your hair out of your face( the oil from your hair blocks your pores). Take a daily vitamin. Use face blotting sheet ( made by clean and clear) if your face gets too oily, and wash your face twice daily with a mild soap. Keeping up a regular routine of all of this will help clear up your face, you just have to be patient, it wont happen overnight.
you have acne beacuse of clogged dirt and oil. a good start would be to drink lots of water and to wash your face about 3 times or more daily. i dont suggest popping your pimples but dont let ***** pimples build up on your face. it doesnt help. get a warm washcloth or tissue and press on your face until the puss leaves. After that just keep washing it until it clears up. however u may need to see a dermatologist. (if you want to use products i suggest using clearasil-- ive tried proactiv and clearasil products are the only ones that work for me ) good luck! =]
Here are a few tips to reduce acne. Wash your face at least twice a day with some kind of anti-bacterial soap. If you exercise and sweat try washing your face after that as well. Also avoid touching your face as much as possible as it gathers oils and dirt from your hands on your face.
oddly enough, chlorine is good for getting rid of acne... swimming in a chlorinated pool helps... else, it would depend. Watching your diet might help as well... oily foods like peanut butter, chocolate, and greasy foods will break you out....
try combinations, or consult a dermatologist...
Babe, people will give you these googled answers that don't work. The only thing that I have tried and that has worked as been imported creams from China. If you'd like I can give you the info(I got it off Ebay). I had acne back when I was younger and it was the only thing that ever worked.
lemon juice is good for old acne scars,
if u want to treat existing acne a natural way then tea tree oil is really good. Also exercise and cut out some sugar and oil from ur diet. Don't cleanse ur face more than 2x a day. And try not to stress out.
wateva u do ;
dnt get proactiv
cos PROACTIV SUCKS! ..
nd try tu drink alot of water nd eat healthily. dnt pop pimples either cos they will onli get worse
and exfoliating helps alot tuu. so u shuld exfoliate at least once a week tu get rid of acne nd acne scars
good luckk (:
Acne can be viral or bacterial and has to be treated with medications, such as acutane or other topical creams. Not all acne is the same and not all acne can be controlled or treated thoroughly with other meds.
probably not, you'll have to buy something from the store. My son read online that if you put plain yogurt on your face (not the flavored ones or with fruit) and let it dry overnight, it helps acne. I don't know how true it is.
Well, you have to wash your face if you want to have any prayer of having clear skin, and soap comes from the store, so I'll go with no.

Don't touch your face.
Wash your face three times a day.
Eat your fruits and veggies. (It's not what you eat. It's what you DON'T eat)
Get good amounts of sleep.
it won't get rid of it but it'll help...
wash your face morning and night
less stress
sleep more
drink more water
eat a lot of fruits of fruits and vegetables
avoid touching your face
don't pop pimples
The best natural ways to keep healthy skin is to watch your diet. Depending on the foods you eat can determine how oily your skin can get.
Depending on how serious it is...a little dab of toothpaste can zap a zip. If it's serious, though, seek a dermatologist.
Good luck!
hhhhhhmmmmm borrow some of your moms scrubs for her face or something. use clean and clear or proactiv.
Use it when you get out of the shower because then your pores are open.
Toothpaste.
The kind in a tube. Put a dab on the acne before you go to sleep. It'll dry it up pretty fast.
Wash your face as often as possible and avoid from rubbing and touching your face!
toothpaste remedy
Doesnt work for me but dab a little on the acne and rinse it off tommorw morning.
I've heard of people using toothpaste (the white kind not the gel) on pimples but I don't know how effective it is.
Someone told me that slicing potatoes and laying them on your face clears it up.
lemons and eggs,
they work quite well when put together actualy.
wash your face with a rag and soap and wash in a circular motion dont do to hard tho
Proactiv!
S.O.A.P. shower every once in a while
try using plain soap and water....or leading a less stressful life (:

Acne can be viral or bacterial and has to be treated with medications, such as acutane or other topical creams. Not all acne is the same and not all acne can be controlled or treated thoroughly with other meds.
probably not, you'll have to buy something from the store. My son read online that if you put plain yogurt on your face (not the flavored ones or with fruit) and let it dry overnight, it helps acne. I don't know how true it is.
Well, you have to wash your face if you want to have any prayer of having clear skin, and soap comes from the store, so I'll go with no.
try lemon

Drink lots of water!
Proactiv!
S.O.A.P. shower every once in a while
try using plain soap and water....or leading a less stressful life (:
good luck
Can using acne medication infrequently have the reverse effect?
I've used my sisters face scrub about 3-4 times in the last week (about every other day) and my acne has gotten MUCH worse. Usually I only have a one or two pimples, three at the most, but in the last two days I have had a huge breakout. No diet/excersize changes or any other significant lifestyle changes other than the face scrub.
The only conclusion I can come up with is that it says to use daily, and I used it about every other day. But that doesn't seem right. Can using acne medication infrequently have the reverse effect?
Yea, I know how you feel. When I was a teenager, some medications would only end up making my face worse. ProActiv was one of them, actually. Sometimes, over the counter meds don't provide much help. The only relief I got was using oral prescription meds after talking to my dermatologist. If you don't want to go that route, they can also prescribe topicals that are much better than what's out there on your local market shelf. I always wondered about diet and exercise. It really has no impact, IMO, in that I tried a lot of healthy binges. It would have a positive effect on my well-being, but wouldn't do much for my skin. Bottom line, if it is something that is bugging you so much that it interferes in your daily life or you are too self-conscious about it (which just causes even more stress, which doesn't help matters), it is best just to see a dermatologist ASAP and not rely on these over the counter medications. Can using acne medication infrequently have the reverse effect?

Usually at the beginning of any new acne traetment, you will get worse before you get better. Just keep using it and give it time, you should improve.
I've had acne for quiet a few years now and I've been on about six different prescribed medication, two of which actually worked. I've learned that you can still get breakouts every so often even though you're doing something to treat it. If the face scrub is working properly, your acne should die back down for a while pretty soon. If it's really bad, go to the doctors and they will start you on some medication to treat the acne from inside out.
Scrubbing our faces with harsh chemicals can definitely do a number on our skin. I've used a lot of different face washes/soap and I always felt like I was experimenting w/ zero positive results. Who wants to always be experimenting on their face?! I've slowly been changing to more ';natural'; products. Products that don't have a ton of chemicals in them or man made synthetic products. Sounds weird but I've started using pure emu oil. 100% natural, no chemicals or fragrance. Take a peek at www.cmonbackacres.com and see what you think. It's pretty amazing stuff and I will never go back to buying store bought face products again or any bottled chemical a doctor hands out. I've also heard that flax seed helps w/ acne. Although I don't know a whole lot about that....yet. You could put that in yahoo answer's search engine and see what comes up.

How can i keep my face clean from acne?
Well im breaking out and i have a photo shoot on thursday and i want to know how i can keep my face pimple free.. any suggestions? please help. (:How can i keep my face clean from acne?
# Become well-acquainted with baking soda. Seriously, it may seem odd, but baking soda has become one of my best allies in fighting acne. Simply make a paste of baking soda and water (you want to aim for a slightly-thinner than toothpaste consistency) and rub it gently on your skin for about 30 seconds after you have used your facial cleaner. Then, rinse it off gently with warm water. While you can use this two times a day (morning and night), I recommend only using it at night, as it can irritate sensitive skin. As we all know, irritation can only make acne worse. How can i keep my face clean from acne?
LOL
I'm so sorry, but Pro-Active really works
I guess it is kinda late for you to buy it and start using it.
well.... for my face i just wash my face every morning with SoftSoap
or just regular hand soap and my face is really clean all the time.
If you are very desperate i guess these will not help but i only washed my face twice when I noticed the pimples were gone :)

im just giving advice :)

Is there any correlation between the onset of acne and growth spurts?
I am 5,6 and 17 with shorter parents. I have not grown in a while but suddenly have been get ';worse than normal'; acne. Does this mean that I have some more growing to do? or Is the no relation? Is there any correlation between the onset of acne and growth spurts?
Don't worry about stuff you have no control over. You still have at least 4 more years of puberty left - with the possibility of additional growth during that time. Anything is possible - but no guarantee's. Just about everybody gets acne to some degree or another. Growth has nothing to do with it. You can help matters by dumping the junk food, fast food garbage %26amp; sugary sweet soda's. Drink lots of water, fruit juices %26amp; fat free milk to help keep the traffic flowing. Life is not always the way it's supposed to be. It's just the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference. Is there any correlation between the onset of acne and growth spurts?
you are in your teenage ... you have more 4-5 years to grow also acne is normal in any age .. dont worry ...
The number one cause of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This is why majority of acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are responsible for then acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy.

What is a good working product that decreases acne?
I tried like everything...basically just the cheap things at wal-mart, but also Mary- Kay and thats it. I still have zits and black heads, how do u get rid of them? What is a good working product that decreases acne?
Wal-Mart has a brand called Acne-Free that's similar to Pro Activ. The only bad thing is it's works quickly so it can be drying. I recommend you choose a less harsh product by Neutrogena or Clean n' Clear to alternate when you're not broken out as much. What is a good working product that decreases acne?
Have you tried the oily system from Sensaria? I had acne as well and even the scars and just the cleanser got rid of it plus the scars. I haven't used anything else in the last year and my skin looks AND feels great.
try murad or st. ives apricot scrub. u have to order murad off the internet. u can find the apricot scrub at walmart. also try the peachish colored stuff from st. ives that is runs kind of like honey. it works because it pulls all the fluids out without u picking at them. click on the link below it will show u what i am talking about.
Which Mary Kay formula are you using? And how long have you been using it for? Are you using the Acne Treatment Gel also? I have been using MK for 4 years now and my daughter and I recently switched to the Classic Skin Care line for oily skin. While I didn't have many problems before, I have noticed a definite improvement since switching to that formula and my 13 year old daughter's skin hase cleared up alot!
proactiv of courseee!!

Does using acne medicine affect your face when you get older?
I heard that if u keep using too many products on your face when your young then it affects your face when your older. Does acne medicine affect your face when you get older? like give you wrinkles and everything?Does using acne medicine affect your face when you get older?
Acne medicine are usually made of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic or antibiotics. All these have some harmful effects on your body. In order to get ride of pimples, you must keep your face clean all times. Cleanness is best medicine which keep you away from acnes. Made of edible algae , containing vitamins Carotene, chlorophyll, amine acids, proteins, SOD enzyme, alga polysaccharides et. al., Chlorella Gel Cleanser can clean corneous cells, sebum, sweat, dust, get ride of pimples quickly, and natural care skin simultaneously. More information can be get in hppt://www.lijunoilacnepimple.com/.Does using acne medicine affect your face when you get older?
Depends on the type of medicine....otc with benzoil peroxide or the salysilic (spelled wrong I know) acid will dry your skin out because the older you get the less oil you tend to produce overall on your face.
If you use something with the retin A, you also have to be careful to sun exposure as you tend to burn easier with use.
Only if you use really bad things for your face. Such as products that were'nt made for you face. Such as toothpaste.
Alot of people use it because it help dry out pimples but it causes alot of scarring!

Can you please answer these 5 questions on acne and skin?
1.) Why is it bad to dry out your skin? Aren't you supposed to if you have acne to clear it up?
2.) Can you get acne from washing your face too much?
3.) Is your face naturally supposed to be a little oily, or does that mean it is clogging your pores and causing acne?
4.) I know Benzoyl Peroxide dries up your acne, but what does medicated or prescribed acne cream from the doctor do?
5.) Are there different types of acne, like blackheads, or is blackheads another way of saying acne? Can you please answer these 5 questions on acne and skin?
Your skin is the largest organ of your body and you do not want to overdry it. always have in mind skin follows a biological timeline, by decades of life. During your 20s and 30s, the first wrinkles start to appear and skin becomes less resistant as elasticity declines and gravity begins to take hold. In your 40s and 50s, repetitive movements form the first permanent wrinkles as genetics, gravity and a decrease in collagen and elastin cause skin and muscle to sag. The scrubs stimulates your skin's timeline to regenerate more often and it will help you with the dark skin. also, bathing daily cleanses the skin, but it also can dry it out, causing it to look dull, but most importantly, it may cause irritation and remove the natural emolients your body produces to keep it healthy. When you bathe, always use a moisture-rich cleanser, and always pamper your skin with a daily moisturizer . Avoid using products formulatted with mineral oil and animal products. These do not get absorbed by the skin and what it does is that it clogs your pores. In fact mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skins health #1 is the sun, it is like rubbing car oil on your skin and exposing yourself to the sun... Animal product come form rendering plants, these plants pick all dead animals from the road, meatmarkets etc and what they do is put them in a huge pot and squash everything inside and boil it the oil that comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their ';beauty'; products ... gross i know.. eww lipstick and aghhh .. anyway, the important thing to do is read your ingredients and use the right ones regularly .... Acne medications or treatments usually have benzoyl peroxide which is very strong for your skin and this is the reason it overdries your skin and you would want to avoid this for the wrinkles... now about the blackheads or white heads known as comedones, can be more numerous on the face and shoulders than red bumps filled with pus. Good consistent skin hygiene can help improve this condition. Therefore, knowing more about what causes comedones and how to treat them is a step towards clearer skin and they are another way of saying acne... .Acne is the term for plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), pimples, and even deeper lumps (cysts or nodules) that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the upper arms. I use Arbonne's Deep Pore Cleansing Masque and their facial scrub anyway, their entire antiaging line which i love and I am only 33 years old, and i want to avoid getting those fine lines deeper ... they are not sold in stores but i buy them online at:http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com under shop online, and have noticed that the blackheads have dissappear and when i see some they are easily to get them out with out marking your skin. they are botanically based and formulatted with no animal products and wihout mineral oil. works wonderful for me and the best thing is that you could shop online, receive it in your house and if ther is something you do not like about the products which is rarely to happen, you return the item and they give your money back .... you have nothing to loose only those hateful blackheads ;~)Can you please answer these 5 questions on acne and skin?
1.no 2.no the more u wash it the better try washing w/ hot water
3. well it depece every one id different some have oily face some dry
4.idk 5.yes
PP are right you don't want to over dry your skin so I wouldn't use anything to harsh to wash your face, you should always follow washing by putting on an oil free moisturizer. I would use Noxzema (is even great to shave with if you are a guy)or Cetiphil for face wash and Cetiphil's face lotion. both are gentile and should help. Other than that I would drink more water which will help keep your skin hydrated and less soda's and things that will dry out your body. Also, make sure that you are getting enough fiber so that your body is getting rid of toxins that way and not through your skin.
Good Luck
the answer to number one is no, it's not good to dry out your skin. that doesn't make your skin get better at all. it makes your acne worse because then, your body wants to produce more oils to make your skin not dry anymore.

How to get rid of these embrassing red acne scars?
whats the best and quickest way to get rid of red post acne scars?? i got like red spots everywhere on my both cheeks on my face and its so embrassing! i am good looking but now i just lost my self confidence and hate going to school because everyone points it out! i dont even have a lot of acne now but it seems like i do because of these ugly red scars! How to get rid of these embrassing red acne scars?
oh gosh yea i feel your pain! yes i consider myself ';good looking'; too but i hate it when people get right up in my face cause i think they're only looking at my acne scars!! :( well i know neutrogena came out with some acne scar gel but i haven't tried it yet. the best thing you can do right now is to cover them up (i assume you're a girl?). just take a q-tip and dip it into some pressed powder so you can just cover the spots without that heavy feeling of concealer. How to get rid of these embrassing red acne scars?
I have that too, I used to have really bad acne and now I have these red scars. I would say, use concealer every day, it really helps 99% of the time, and give it a little time. I gave it a year or two and my skin looks better already. Also, keep your face clean as so not to irritate it- maybe use something with 10% benzoyl peroxide. I hope this helps!
I get a scar lasts a while after every pimple, I have clear skin most of the time but a scar remains here and there.
If your acne isn't to bad just a few pimples here and there I would use Bare Essentials ';Bisque'; it is a powder that you can dab on. I have used it on my no make up days and it blends well into your skin and doesn't show. It is a really cool product. Btw...It was voted best product for 2008 at sephora ,,,Hope this helps good luck Best face wash is philosophy's purity . You will love it...Just my opinion...
I've had severe acne myself, try looking for more information on any acne website, like this one for example:
http://AcneTreat.net
You'll find some great info there, hope you can get rid of them quickly.

Does anyone know any good over the counter acne products?
My mom is putting off the dermatoligest for some time now and i RELE want to go. she says tat she'll take me some time after school starts. So in the meantime, does any1 know of any effective acne products that aren't perscirbed?Does anyone know any good over the counter acne products?
It depends on how bad your acne is.
If you have mild acne- Clearisil. [Did I spell that right?] Lol. It doesn't work great for moderate acne but for mild ance it is very good. My friend tried that and LOVED IT!!!!!!
For mild-moderate acne buy the mary-kay acne products. They work really well- my sister uses them and has very nice skin. I would recomend them!!!!
For moderate acne I would highly recommend the clean %26amp; clear acne kit or w/e it's called. It is stronger than Clearisil- so will fight breakouts better. It comes with 3 treatments that work together fabulously to prevent and treat your acne. The smallest tube is the best- it practically clears up acne overnight!
IF YOUR ACNE IS WORSE THAN MODERATE TELL YOUR MOM IT WOULD DEFINITLY BE FOR THE BEST IF SHE LET YOU SEE THE DERMETOLIGIST- IT REALLY ISN'T THAT EXPENSIVE IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE....
For moderate-severe acne- I am sorry but you might have to see a dermetologist. I'd see if he or she could subscribe DIFFERIN. I have only heard positive reviews of it.
If your acne is severe: Ask your dermetologist about Isotretioin[Accutane]. It supposivily works great. But, it has SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many serious side effects. For example- stroke, depression, etc. It will give you a serious breakout the first two weeks- but only because it is getting out everything under your skin. One session can last about 6 months. You can NOT get pregnant while on this pill for it causes seious birth defects. This is only for very severe acne[and partcially rosacea] so if your acne is only moderate don't do it. You lips will be chapped and your nose will be so dry it will bleed. It is also quite expensive.
Whatever you do- DO NOT use zeno. It is extremly expensive for a device that only cures acne slightly and does not prevent it AT ALL.
And say NO to proactiv. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYBODY! On the commercials they try to make it seem like a miracle- well NEWSFLASH its not. I def. wouldn't recommend it.
Well I hope I helped you and good luck! =]Does anyone know any good over the counter acne products?
The Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel ($7.00) ... and Blemish Control Toner ($13.00) works great they have a wonder skin care program that is not to expensive either. You can check out there web site at www.marykay.com and just click on skin care at the top then specific needs and then you should be able to find it from there under acne treatment... Good Luck :)
