My girlfriend wants to get a tat across her back but she has back acne. Do they have like a policy where they can't tattoo if there's obstructions or something. I don't know if it's a factor at all but I really wish to know before they say no because of that and get her feelings hurt. Or if it would mess up her tattoo at all? Anyone know?Can you still get tattooed even if you have acne where you want it?
Reputable tattoo shops will not do this for two reasons: (1) it's likely to look bad, and that makes THEM look bad, and (2) there is a much higher risk of infection. You do NOT want to go anywhere except a reputable tattoo shop (trust me), so I strongly advise against this. She should get inked somewhere where there is no acne, and, if she really wants a back tattoo, get a dermatologist to treat the acne (completely) before getting such a tat.Can you still get tattooed even if you have acne where you want it?
Not a good idea to get a tatt over acne - your infection risk is really high and the tattoo will likely be uneven and heal poorly.
