I have PCOS (polycestic ovarian syndrom) so acne is something I will have to deal with my whole life. But it is getting really bad and I dont know what products will help and what wont. Anyone have any advice? How can I get rid of bad acne?
I felt unconfident when I had ACNE.
Going to the dermatologist sometimes doesn't work. The appointment cost a lot. Why don't you try clear.now a treatment for acne.
If you have acne you are going to like what I'm going to tell you.. I had acne and I'm using clear.now. it's working for me you should try it. Trust me I had the same problem I know how you feel. My friend told me about this acne product and I thank her so much for telling me about it. And now I would like to share it with you. When your skin is clear and doesn't have acne you feel so much better about yourself. Your more confident about yourself. Now I'm not shy to go outside because I feel beautiful that's to clear. now that's the name of the acne treatment I'm taking. If it doesn't work they will return your money that's what I liked the most. But I didn't have to return it because I love how it works and makes my skin feel soft and clear. It's better than the ProActive products I have used.

First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!
I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.
are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.
Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.
Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.
Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.
Sweat naturally cleanses your skin, so be sure to exercise often!
You need to get something for it from your Doctor. The Pill Dianette gets rid of acne and also helps PCOS. I don't actually think there are any products that really work to be honest. I'd say your best bet is Dianette.

Is it cystic acne? the only cure for that for me was Accutane (I'm not sure you want to or can take it).
This is advice I heard from different dermatologists - I had severe acne 18yrs-23yrs.
Drink lots of water (8+ glasses a day) %26amp;/or clear fluids, exercise (to get the pores to push out the impurities) and wash/bathe right away to cleanse the sweat. No chocolate or dairy products, or coffee (avoid caffeinated drinks) and sodas. No fried foods (KFC, french fries, etc.) and all the fast food chains.
No makeup to clog the pores (only makes it worse) -- follow a regular cleansing routine with mild facial wash (neutrogena or aveno), and follow up with moisturizer with spf (at least 15). I used Clinique anti-blemish for on-the- spot treatment.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and lean meats.
What helped once a year was a cleansing of the stomach thru Magnesium Citrate (check with your doctor first). It cleans your intestines, and you feel like new, and this is reflected on your skin. You take the whole bottle first thing in the morning, alone, nothing else, and let it work. You can't leave the house for the whole day as you're cleansing. For lunch, have a little noodle soup. Drink water. Then noodle soup for dinner again.
Good luck!
